Ministry Base in South Africa
We are so excited to let you know we have raised $214,783 of our $254,000 target to purchase and do Phase 1 renovations to move into our new headquarters.
It has been a challenging and lenghty journey to reach this stage but we are thrilled to annouce that we officially own the building.
The electricity has been restored, and we are starting to move back in. The next phase involves commencing renovations.
We will be fixing the electricity so it is more efficient, redoing the roof, security system, and adding solar this month in hopes all programs will be able to move back into the building by the end of June.
Please pray as we work to get clearance to allow for the next updates, which will include putting bathrooms in downstairs, adding a coffee shop and boutique, adding classrooms , a computer lab, and a possible rooftop terrace restaurant space.
Let's pray for a smooth process with the 7 municipal departments as we seek certifications to accomplish our goals. Some of these projects, will specifically require fire code, public security, and commercial kitchen certifications. We are praying for our first international teams to come help us renovate kitchens, guard rails, stairs, classrooms, store fronts, garages, and IT lab by October.
Three ways you can be involved:
Pray for unity with all new management responsibilities, and the presence of the Lord is truly felt as people walk into the premises.
Donate to the Development Fund.
Come to South Africa serve with skills as we renovate the space.

The Building
We have been renting office space on the top floor of this building for the last three years and now it is for sale. The building is 11,752 square feet, including a large conference hall on the main level. It’s located in Malelane, a small city that is the hub of the Nkomazi municipality, an area with approximately 450,000 people in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. Hope of Africa has been empowering vulnerable youth in this area since 2013.
Sustainability
We see this purchase as the next critical step to ensure sustainability for the ministry and to help us have a greater impact in our region. We believe that creating viable small businesses that allow us to sustain our ministry expenses and employ our students will create a ripple effect that will help us greatly accelerate our impact, increasing the number of leaders we can equip to transform their communities throughout Africa and beyond.
