The Hope of Africa South Africa

Hope of Africa was registered in South Africa as The Hope of Africa South Africa in 2019.

There are many child-led homes in Nkomazi. A “child-led home” means the oldest person responsible for finances, clothing, and shelter for a household of multiple people is under the age of 12. If this wasn’t enough of a crisis, it is very common to have one grandmother caring for over ten children in a two or three room house on a government pension grant. This grant is the equivalent of $70 a month for all living expenses for that family. Due to the inflation and prices of food due to multiple economic and political factors, this money typically covers a family with your basic cornmeal, beans, sugar, salt, cooking oil, and soap for washing for 6 people for about 2.5 weeks.
