Paulette van der Merwe
Paulette is originally from Zimbabwe. She spent many years working in the corporate sector while prayerfully searching for missions minded organizations that she could join. She worked with Open Schools Worldwide for five years and has continued to stay involved with several missions organizations throughout the years. She joined the Hope of Africa South Africa after meeting Heather and discovering they had a shared vision for missions. She became country director for THOASA in a part-time capacity at the end of 2018. By the beginning of 2020, she was asked to work full-time. Paulette manages the team in South Africa, oversees different projects, collaborates and networks with other NGOs, and trains and mentors many young people in business and financial stewardship. Paulette lives in Malelane with her husband and three children.
